David Girardeau - Building Designer, Structural Design Drafter

David Girardeau Designs is a small business operating out of our home office in Tathra.

We are low volume and focus on working with the client to design site specific, bushfire resistant, solar passive homes.

​

We believe in taking the time to get the design 'just right' for the client and not rushing things through just to finish a project.

​

Many designs can involve several 'concepts' to finally meet all of the clients requirements - which we feel is important to get correct at the design/drawing stage as a home is such a significant investment.

​

We have extensive experience in off/partial grid homes and understand BVSC requirements for water, on site sewerage management - including worm farms, septic systems and dry composting toilet systems etc.

​

We have worked with several owner builders through (and beyond) the DA process.

​

We endeavor to produce accurate and detailed documentation for builders quotes etc. thereby trying to minimise 'variations' added onto the building contract/quote.

David has been operating his own Building Design Company in Australia since 2005 and has also worked for a number of other firms to enhance and contribute to his professional development including:
